Smoke
Alarms
In
the event of a fire, properly installed and maintained smoke
alarms will provide an early warning signal to your household.
This alarm could save your own life and those of your loved ones
by providing the chance to escape.
A
Smoke Detector Can Save Your Life if it is Working
-
Dead,
missing, or disconnected batteries are the principle cause
of non-working detectors
-
Test
once a month (replace any battery if it is too weak to sound
alarm)
-
When
the detector chirps the battery is low
-
Replace
batteries twice a year (Daylight savings)
Dealing
With False Alarms
-
Do
not disconnect the detector; if the alarm activates RELOCATE
IT
-
If
false alarms persist, replace the detector (try a different
brand)
